Whether you are looking to get active, play, or swim, the Greenway has a space for you! The Greenway’s amenities are operated and managed by NORD unless otherwise noted below.
There are several basketball courts on the Greenway if you are looking to shoot some hoops. NORD also offers youth sports programming.
Courts can be found between N Claiborne and Basin at Lemann Playground 1 and between N Claiborne Avenue and N Galvez Street.
The Greenway is home to Lemann playgrounds #1 and #2. The playgrounds are open 6 am to 10 pm.
Lemann #1 located riverside of N. Claiborne Avenue & Lemann #2 located lakeside of N. Claiborne Avenue.
Get active on the Greenway! The Greenway houses two outdoor fitness parks that provide free and accessible fitness equipment to the community.
Located at Lemann Playground #2, lakeside of N. Claiborne Avenue & lakeside of Sojourner Truth Neighborhood Center.
the trail
The Greenway’s 2.6 mile biking and pedestrian trail is a great spot to jog, walk, or bike safely through the scenic heart of the Crescent City. The trail is equipped with trees and native plants, water fountains, safe street crossings, LED lighting, and cultural and recreational amenities!
Faubourg Lafitte Tennis Courts
The Greenway’s two tennis courts, operated by the Sojourner Truth Neighborhood Center are free and open to the public. Courts operate on a first come, first serve basis.
The courts are located on the Lafitte Greenway at N. Rocheblave Street (2400 Lafitte Ave.)
The Greenway is home to football, soccer, baseball, and softball amenities. These sites host ongoing recreational youth programming.

Come cool down during the hot summer months at the Lemann pool located on the Greenway! The pool is free and open to the community from June through August.
