supernova temporary exhibits

Supernova is a free, light-based art exhibit and community celebration. Building off of last year's success, Supernova brings spectacle, light, art and color to the new Greenway Plaza and Greenway Station open-air pavilion.

The Greenway’s biggest fundraiser, combing the spirits of the Greenway Soiree and the Greenway Fest that could not take place in 2021 due to COVID-19, into one joyous weekend. Sponsorships and gifts from this exhibit are the Greenway’s most critical source of funding for the Greenway’s care, programs, plantings, and projects in the year ahead.

Yule Gator Vanquishing the Rougarou

Jingle-stomping through the darkest swamp on the eve of the solstice, the Rougarou meets the silence of winter. The Feufollet beckons him to the Yule Gator, bringer of goodness for all through the fires of transformation. Evil is no more.

Neon Lounge

MILAGROS

“Neon Lounge” is an immersive fabric based installation. Hand-painted with fluorescent colors, effervescent patterns fill the space and are activated by black lights. Custom furniture adorns the room and offers areas for viewers to relax.

Regal Moth Tea Cart

Taking inspiration from the nocturnal wildlife that gathers around porch lights in rural Louisiana, a whimsical glowing Regal moth presides over this exotic environment of light, sound and aroma. Hot tea is shared at a decorative lighted bar. What other mysterious creatures of the night will you find here?

A conglomeration of artists at heart, Dohm Collective is focused on creating collaborative endeavors for local artists wherever the Dohm is constructed, forming a nomadic hub of creativity that has traveled across the North American continent for nearly a decade.
